Who is Sasuke Uchiha?

Gasp! You don’t know? Well!! <turns back at INSERT YOUR NAME HERE and walks away> Just kidding! Ha ha ha…

Back to business…Here’s what you have to know about Sasuke-kun. I’ll try to include as FEWspoilers as possible, but that doesn’t mean there won’t be any. So, you better beware!

In Naruto: Sasuke Uchiha is considered the best student in Ninja Academy. He has good looks and awesome abilities. Teachers adore him. Girls swoon all over him. Most guys are jealous of him. He’s close to perfection! Well, at least that’s what everyone thought. Oblivious to everyone is that fact that Sasuke has a dark, very dark past. At a very young age, Sasuke witnessed the murder of his entire clan under the hand of (gasp!) his very own older brother, Itachi Uchiha. Sasuke vowed to avenge the death of the Uchihas, even it means killing Itachi. He closed his heart to everything and concentrated only on attaining revenge…

But thankfully, after getting assigned to Team 7 with Naruto Uzumaki and Sakura Haruno under Kakashi Hatake, Sasuke slowly began opening himself again. He gained friends and though he still seems cold and uncaring, he shows his feelings in his own special way.

Hmm… What else? Ah…Relationships! Right… Well, Naruto is Sasuke’s closest friend, though he doesn’t want to admit it. They’ve made a promise to each other and have been looking out for each other ever since. However, that promise didn’t stop them from constantly getting into each other’s nerves. Sasuke’s supreme abilities irritate Naruto and the fact that he’s the one surrounded by fan girls doesn’t help at all. On the other hand, Naruto’s immaturity annoys Sasuke. Typical of friends, don’t you think?  Sakura has a huge crush on Sasuke, though he most of the time ignores her advances. (Geniuses like Sasuke don’t have time for romance. Smart people have priorities! In Sasuke’s case, that would have to be revenge…) Sasuke has respect for Kakashi since he’s his sensei and all but nevertheless, there are times when Sasuke’s temper gets the best of him and he ends up doing something…He he he…I’m just going to stop there, okay? He he he…

Later on in the series, Sasuke continues on his search for revenge. He knows that in order to gain revenge, he must first gain power. And that’s where Orochimaru (grr…you snake!!!) comes in… With that bite of his (argh! how dare you touch Sasuke-kun, let alone bite him! you are not worthy! you’re not worthy! SNAKE!!!), he gave Sasuke the cursed seal. Sasuke finally got the taste of the power he wanted and that lead to his decision to leave Konoha and seek Orochimaru’s teachings. Sigh Sasuke-kun…

In Naruto Shippuden: In this series, we see a more mature-looking yet ever so good-looking Sasuke-kun. He has a new outfit – something that yells out “I’m a follower of Orochimaru”. But despite that whole look, observe the Uchiha fan on his back! That simply proves that he hasn’t completely given himself to that awful snake… The only thing I don’t really like is Sasuke-kun’s belt. It makes him look…fat (No, Sasuke-kun! No!!! You still look good!!! It’s just that…Your belt…It…o_O). Still, nothing changes the fact that Sasuke-kun is still the best character EVER!
